The Mailroom Clerk has responsibility for all mailings and will handle all outbound mail fulfillment functions for the Missouri Beneficiary Support and Premium Collections Project. This position is responsible for such functions, including distributing incoming mail, assisting with scanning / imaging mail received, running / printing mail file print jobs, pulling already-produced materials, packaging outbound mailings, ensuring appropriate postage for mailings, logging inventory use, and participating in quality assurance activities. The Mailroom Clerk maintains adequate inventories of Project materials (via shipping and receiving of supplies and materials). This position is based in the Missouri-area office and reports to the Documentation Manager.
Knowledge - High School Diploma / GED certificate required. Associates Degree preferred in insurance or related field and / or related experience / training. Thorough knowledge of general office procedures and office equipment (i.e., scanner, phone system, computer, fax machine, copy machine, etc.) required.
Skills / Abilities - Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to understand written and spoken instructions. Ability to learn, follow workflows, and maintain high levels of accuracy is required. Must be able to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
Experience - Minimum two years of related office experience or previous mailroom experience required. Experience in the medical / insurance field is a plus. The ability to operate office / mail fulfillment equipment (i.e., inserter) is required.
Exertional Level - Medium work - some sitting, standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling is required occasionally.
