The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for leading the purchasing team. The Purchasing Supervisor assigns tasks, supervises purchasing team members, focuses on day-to-day operations execution within purchasing, and ensures purchasing team objectives are met. In addition, the Purchasing Supervisor is expected to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of a Buyer III and / or Senior Buyer. Activities include purchasing and tracking orders, ensuring on-time delivery of orders, interfacing with vendors, quoting, working with management / engineering to ensure project parts requirements and production needs are met, and leading the other Buyers.
