POSITION SUMMARY
Incumbent serves as a human resources generalist performing a wide range of duties, such as, employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting & selection, and workers’ compensation administration for a large manufacturer north of Indianapolis. Responsibilities extend to dealing with matters involving workplace safety and employee wellness.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
· Maintains harmonious environment by supporting employee relations objectives
· Handles a variety of matters pertaining to the welfare and benefit programs
· Performs recruiting and selection functions
· Works with third-parties to source new talent
· Assist with onboarding and orientation activities
· Leads a wide range of training and development matters
· Handles leaves of absences and workers' compensation administration
· Supports workplace safety and accident/injury avoidance initiatives
KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
· 5 years’ experience performing HR work preferably in a manufacturing setting
· Proficiency with HR regulations, principles, and practices
· Experience in designing, developing, and delivering training a plus
· HR and timekeeping/payroll systems proficiency desired
· Professional HR certification preferred
· Willingness to advance within our growing organization to include pursuing promotion opportunities outside of the state
