What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Careers @ Hendrickson?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ø Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools
Ø Paint parts as necessary to meet production standards.
Ø Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and various gauges and other tools.
Ø Perform source inspection as established
Ø Perform daily TPM
Ø Uses stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns
Ø Performs daily duties per work instructions / standard work
Ø Completes all daily data collection as established
Ø Must perform daily 5S activities
Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:
Ø Must be able to read blueprints
Ø Must have good understanding of inventory control
Ø Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Ø Must have or be able to obtain a fork truck license
Ø Must recognize the importance of working in a safe manner
Ø Ability to understand what constitutes quality products
Ø Possess basic math skills
Ø Average or above average skills in numeric and visual recall
Ø Must be computer literate
Ø Must be able to obtain Powered Air Purified Respirator (PAPR) certification
Education Requirements:
Ø High school diploma or GED
Experience Requirements
Ø Paint application experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Ø Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ø Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ø Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures
