Electrical R&D Technician III Job Summary
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of conversion to a full-time employee. The Electrical R&D Technician plays a critical role in the development of innovative medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and evaluate electrical tests, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to engineers based on test results and observations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with prototypes and existing products.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine specifications and improve product functionality.
- Document test procedures, results, and any design changes in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
- Maintain equipment and instruments.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and interns as needed.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to project planning activities.
- Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams in identifying and obtaining supplies and services.
- Act as a resource to other employees.
- Communicate project status to project teams.
- Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
