- Must have a complete understanding of the function of Lithographic (Offset) and Flexographic printing methods.
- Adjustment of press components as needed to insure safe operation and the production of quality products.
- Verification of all materials used for accuracy, quality and conformance to all established specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring print quality.
- Maintaining all required documentation as required by company standards.
- Insures proper labeling of rolls of paper.
- Completion of all production forms required by company standards in a legible manner.
- Assure compliance with safety and health regulations and good housekeeping practices within assigned areas, as well as compliance with all quality specifications.
- Maintain all required documentation of work performed and ensure that all forms and materials are labeled properly.
- Assist other operators as needed.
- Set up numbering machines as required for a job.
- Prepare and install print plates; offset and flex.
- Adjust impression, registration as needed to insure quality printing.
- Request materials and supplies as needed for efficient operation.

Requirement & Skills:
- Mechanical ability to diagnose mechanical issues with a press and the ability to adjust the press as needed to insure safe operation and the manufacture of quality products.
- Mathematical ability to calculate job requirements.
- The skill to use a rule to set up press components and to interpret and transpose measurements.
- Basic knowledge of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, and the ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- The skill to understand and implement all the requirements listed on a job jacket.
- The skill necessary to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making.
- The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions that are appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- The skill to manage time in order to complete assigned work tasks in an efficient manner.
- The skill to adjust their actions in relation to the actions of other team members in order to complete a project in the most efficient manner.
