Position Purpose:
The Revenue Cycle Reporting Specialist will provide management and reporting on the public fee for service revenue. This position will be the liaison between the representatives from payers and the revenue cycle team. This position will focus on claim resolution, trends and accuracy of payments and work directly with team members and will assign them claim projects. The position will also be responsible for monthly and ad hoc reporting related to accounts receivable and revenue, along with providing reports for financial audits.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED required, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience in healthcare environment with knowledge of claims processing, denial management, healthcare collections.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to accurately complete required documentation withing the times prescribed.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and able to prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills including the ability to produce graphs, charts, and tables, use spreadsheets efficiently and perform calculations and automation to process large volumes of data.
• Ability to analyze and trend data.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage State and Managed Medicaid aged accounts receivable, claim issues, denials, and payment accuracy.
2. Function as the liaison between MCO reps and revenue cycle staff.
3. Establish contacts and relationships with provider representatives for each public payer.
4. Communicate directly with provider reps on a regular basis and ensure identified issues are addressed.
5. Establish routine meetings with provider reps and revenue cycle staff.
6. Manage claim issues logs by payer along with managing all outstanding claim projects, resolution, and fallout from finalizations of projects.
7. Review payments to identify accuracy, underpayments, and trends.
8. Development, monitoring and follow up of metrics within the revenue cycle.
9. Analyze denial reasons to identify root causes.
10. Maintain public reimbursement matrix by payer, NPI and effective dates.
11. Analyze rate increases and the impact of revenue by program.
12. Attending all public provider rep meetings, State meetings for both Illinois and Iowa, and providing summary to revenue cycle leadership.
13. Provide support in process improvement initiatives.
14. Complete monthly standard reports
15. Complete various reports for annual fiscal year audit.
16. Be a secondary review of charge mapping
Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30aa-5:00pm (40 hours per week)
- Remote schedule available after training period
Compensation
- Starting Pay (based on education, experience, and credentials)
- $20.29 per hour
Work Location:
- Remote after training (must live in WI, IL, or IA)
