COMPANY:
Sun Noodle, celebrating mover 40 years as the leader of fresh ramen noodles, has factories in Hawaii, California, New Jersey and the Netherlands. Sun Noodle is looking to hire a Production Manager in our Carlstadt, NJ factory. This position will manage the overall production. This is a highly visible role in a small to mid-sized food manufacturing facility. Must be able to "hit the ground running" with your already established experience & knowledge in the food manufacturing industry.

SUMMARY
The Production Manager performs a variety of different production tasks. They lead their team to produce a quality product in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines. As Manager, they are also responsible for overseeing the entire production staff, training new employees, and having a vast knowledge of all company products and processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
All employees are expected to govern their activities and behavior by the rules of conduct in their relations with the company, fellow employees, supervisors, and customers. Production
· Understanding all equipment, including mixers, cutters and packaging machines to ensure production is running accurately, efficiently and smoothly
· Understanding all recipes and measuring accurately to ensure recipes are consistent
· Overseeing processes and procedures to ensure that noodles and products are produced, packaged, tempered and stored properly
· Understanding production scheduling; Planning and organizing daily production schedules to ensure orders will be ready for customers on time
· Check inventory, ordering and purchasing of raw materials
· Check inventory on a routine schedule to ensure there is ample products to fulfill customer orders
· Liaison with General Manager, sales staff and warehouse staff
· Ensuring that products are up to SUN NOODLE quality standards
Managerial
· Coaching, counseling, communicating job expectations, and disciplining employees
· Scheduling employees for production shift duties
· Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
· Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
· Resolving personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action
· Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources
· Making sure that production team are following Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure property food safety handling
· Assigning production associates to different work stations; efficiently utilizing employees skills and time
· Completing production plans by assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow
· Maintaining staff by orienting, training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities.
· Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelors degree in related field
· At least 3 years of experience as a production worker in food related field preferred
· 3-5 years of strong managerial experience
. 2-5 years as production manager in a food manufacturing factory
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Excellent leadership skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to both work alone and as a team
. Familiar with Food Safety procedures and QA practices
· Follows and maintains SUN NOODLE’s Good Manufacturing Practices and good hygiene practices
. Must be proficient in MS Office, specifically, Excel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $90,000 - $95,000 per year
