Job Summary:
The FSQA Manager at Triple H Food processors will lead the development and implementation of food safety and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal standards, with a particular focus on kosher and organic certifications. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and sanitation across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with kosher and organic standards.
Oversee state submission programs, including the preparation and submission of required documentation for regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations, including FDA and USDA guidelines.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and products to assess adherence to quality standards, including kosher, organic, BRC, and SQF certification requirements.
Lead investigations of food safety incidents, customer complaints, and product recalls, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and supply chain, to promote a culture of food safety and quality.
Provide training and support to employees on food safety practices, quality control, and sanitation procedures, with a focus on kosher and organic practices.
Monitor and analyze quality metrics, preparing reports for management and recommending improvements as needed.
Stay current on industry trends, kosher and organic standards, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.
Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
5 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or processing environment.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, kosher, organic, BRC, and SQF certification processes, as well as other relevant food safety regulations and standards.
Proven experience in leading audits and managing quality control programs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, PCQI).
Experience with state submission programs and regulatory compliance processes.
Familiarity with kosher and organic certifications and standards.
