Production Supervisor – Bastrop, LA
DG Foods is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our management team in Bastrop, LA. This role oversees line operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards during an assigned shift. The ideal candidate has experience in poultry processing, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and coordinate production operations on the portioning line.
- Train, motivate, and lead a team of 15-35 employees.
- Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and GPM policies.
- Maintain plant security and enforce safety and health programs.
- Optimize processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Support regulatory compliance and ensure quality standards are met.
- Act as Production Superintendent when needed.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Business Management, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience, with at least 1 year in a management role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 & Excel.
- Ability to work in cold/wet environments and lift up to 30 lbs.
