Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in then home of our client. You will be responsible for assisting in the assessment and treatment of patients, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role is critical in supporting our nursing staff and delivering exceptional care to your patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with the assessment of patients' health status and report any changes to the registered nurse or physician.
- Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient care activities and observations.
- Support patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in basic life support as needed.
- Participate in patient education regarding health management and wellness strategies.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, particularly in a Level II Trauma Center setting.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly in medical-surgical or pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) environments.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment and care.
- Strong understanding of basic life support techniques and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
