Private Duty Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to provide personalized care to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various nursing specialties and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring medical assistance. This role involves working closely with patients and their families to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Duties

* Provide Complete Ventilator Care, Trache Care and Feeding Tube Care

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility support, and nutrition management.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Perform catheterization and other necessary medical procedures as required.
• Engage in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions from hospital to home care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient status and care needs.
• Provide education and support to patients and families about health management and medication administration.

Skills

• Proficient in Adult care, demonstrating the ability to handle the unique needs of young children.
• Knowledgeable in coding for accurate documentation of medical services provided.
• Experience in emergency room (ER) settings or trauma medicine is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in medication administration, ensuring compliance with prescribed treatments.
• Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively and efficiently.
• Familiarity with travel nursing practices is a plus, allowing flexibility in patient assignments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
• Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
