Job Title : RN – Private Duty School Nurse
Location : Ashburn, VA 20148
Duration : 3 Months (Extendable)
Working Hours :
Mon / Wed : 6 : 45 am – 2 : 45 pm
Tue / Thur / Fri : 6 : 45 am - 5 : 30 pm
Position Summary :
- Client is looking to add an RN or a very strong LPN to the team of nurses at an elementary school.
- They need a RN with peds or adult critical care experience who has knowledge in detecting different seizure types and can respond to a seizure emergency.
- Also have experience with G-tube feedings .
- The student is non-verbal, does ambulate in a gait trainer otherwise her source of mobility is in a wheelchair.
- The nurse needs to ride the bus , the transportation times are included in the above time slots.
- RN with critical care peds experience, mainly focused on caring for a nonverbal, non-ambulatory child with sustained seizure activity and g-tube feeding.
- Ability to recognize different types of seizures.
- Ashburn area; requires riding the bus with the student.
- Will be working with another nurse to support this student in the classroom and on the bus.
- The nurse will also be trained to provide substitute health office coverage throughout Loudoun County when needed.
