Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing to clients.
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with daily living activities while promoting independence.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that stimulate cognitive function and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' overall well-being.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong observational skills to monitor client conditions and report changes accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Certification as a nurse or relevant caregiver training is beneficial but not mandatory.
