QAPI Coordinator – CareMaster Medical Services
Job Summary:
CareMaster Medical Services is seeking a QAPI Coordinator with a strong background in chart auditing and compliance monitoring. The ideal candidate will be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with knowledge of the Medicaid Waiver Program. This role focuses on ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement for both client and employee records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed chart audits for both clients and employees to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Review medical records, service documentation, and employee credentialing for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement in documentation and compliance.
- Ensure all records align with Medicaid Waiver Program requirements and company policies.
- Develop corrective action plans for any compliance deficiencies.
- Collaborate with management to improve documentation practices and workflow efficiency.
- Assist in preparing for regulatory inspections and audits.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records for internal and external reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper documentation and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Experience in chart auditing, medical records review, or healthcare compliance.
- Knowledge of the Medicaid Waiver Program and its documentation requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to educate staff on documentation best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
