About You:
Are you ready to be a part of a team that values empathy, persistence, and excellence? As a Pharmacy Technician in our Customer Service Department, you will serve as a point of contact to patients, providers and pharmacies including answering inbound calls and coordinating delivery and fills of patient‘s medications
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Registered Pharmacy Technician license in Florida.
- A minimum of two years' experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with electronic health record software (NextGen is preferred).
- Knowledge of pharmacy adjudication platforms.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Patient relations experience, especially with an elderly population.
- Exceptional listening, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail in prescription processing.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and prioritization abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and caregivers based on compassion, empathy, and trust.
- Act as a liaison between Caremed Pharmacy and providers to ensure seamless communication.
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens and resolve drug therapy-related issues.
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
- Efficiently process prescription orders, insurance verification, and refill requests.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to secure prior authorizations and resolve coverage matters.
- Handle refill requests, medication reconciliation, and prescription transfers.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and solution-oriented workplace culture.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
