Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. Schedule : Full Time Mid Shift 3p3a 36 hours per week Unit Summary Busy ER in level One Trauma Hospital Certified Chest Pain and Stroke Center Our Registered Nurse (RN) staff are proficient in Stroke and STEMI activations and established care guidelines This is a fastpaced ER environment whose success is dependent on teamwork. We have 50 exam rooms and 6 trauma bays RNs work closely with ED Providers Social Workers Registration etc. because we are truly in it together! The Emergency department primarily cares for adult populations but we do care for pediatric patients as needed. Registered Nurses (RN) can be involved in Improvement projects Shared Governance department committees and councils. Job Summary As a Registered Nurse will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment recognizing health issues creating care plans and assessing patient responses.
