Responsibilities
- Excel in Customer service
- Excel in knowledge of insurance guidelines, understand and process benefits for financials
- Determine all necessary documents require for proper processing (orders, clinical notes, testing etc.) to meet insurance guidelines
- Request/pull additional documentation from referral EMR
- Proficient in using Medicare IVR for verification needs
- Collect payments from patients when required
- Create case management contracts and follow up for signed copies
- o Create sales order and forward to dispatch
- Request/submit insurance authorization when required
- Log initial DWO/CMN and authorizations
- Verify/confirm contact information with patient for delivery
- Maintain communication with hospital and facilities regarding order process via Careport, All Scripts, DME scripts and other communication platforms
- Mentorship of new hires, (on the job training)
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/manager
Requirements
- Meets and excels at all Intake 1 Duties
- Customer service skills, computer skills, knowledge of job duties of team 1, ability to multitask and prioritize, insurance knowledge
- Must have minimum six months intake experience in DME industry or meet weekly KPI expectations for role
