Pharmacy Technician Role
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to prepare medications for patients.
- Receive and verify prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a secure and organized environment for storing medications.
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
- Fulfill prescription requests by accurately labeling and packaging medications.
- Assist patients with medication questions and direct them to the pharmacist as needed.
- Process payments and file prescriptions.
- Create and maintain patient profiles, tracking their medication history.
- Order and manage inventory of medications, chemicals, and supplies.
- Prepare pharmaceutical mixtures according to written prescriptions.
Education and Experience
- Licensed pharmacy technician required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal pharmacy technician program through an accredited school is necessary.
- Certified/registered with the S.C. Board of Pharmacy.
- One to three years of experience in the field or a related field.
