Position Summary :
The benefits specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. Serves as leave administrator and workers compensation administrator for entire company.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollment in ADP to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Assists employees regarding benefit claims issues and plan changes.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life status changes.
- Responds to benefit inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefit enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Responsible for leave and ADA administration.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences / disabilities.
- Manages the open enrollment process.
- Prepares and manages reports for allocation / billing for all group insurance coverages.
