We are seeking a reliable and friendly transportation professional to join our team at Chesterwood Village. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in providing transportation services to our residents, ensuring their safe and timely arrival at appointments and outings.
About the Job
This is a full-time/part-time position that requires operating a vehicle safely and efficiently. You will transport residents to various locations, including doctor's appointments, group outings, and social events. A clean driving record and Ohio driver's license are required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and timely transportation services to residents
- Operate a vehicle safely and smoothly, obeying posted speed limits and avoiding quick starts/stops and sharp turns
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, including regular refueling, fluid checks, and washing
- Ensure passengers have a seat and are properly seated before moving the vehicle
- Avoid using distracting devices while operating the vehicle, such as cell phones or headphones
- Limit conversations with passengers while driving and plan routes for safety and efficiency prior to leaving
Requirements
- A clean and neat appearance
- A pleasant and courteous attitude
- A professional demeanor when relating to residents, their families, and staff
- The ability to remain calm and clear-headed in routine and emergency situations
- An Ohio Driver's License with an unblemished driving record
