Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, home care, and emergency medicine. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare systems and regulations, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health by conducting physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Athenahealth.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including HEDIS measures and coding accuracy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in nursing care and relevant healthcare technologies.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Experience in home care, emergency medicine, or clinic settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Athenahealth is a plus.
- Knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of coding practices related to nursing documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education and advocacy.
