As a Solution Architect, you will be part of the Product Engineering Team – the group that is responsible for focusing on how we use our products, services, content and data to better support our consumers and business partners. Our team uses Agile Development to harness innovative technologies to bring ideas to life.
At CARFAX, we believe in the power of teamwork and value in-person interactions so that we can collaborate and thrive together. This position will require 3 days in our Columbia, MO office subject to change with future business needs.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and Evaluate software solutions.
- Provide experienced Leadership and technical direction to software engineering teams.
- Work closely with Team Leads to oversee the development of projects.
- Be accountable for the software development platform – from design to release.
- Establish and maintain technical design and software development standards.
- Innovate new ideas and solutions.
- Focus on Automation opportunities.
- Excellent Leadership, Interpersonal, Communication, and Collaboration skills.
- Exceptional Problem-solving and Conflict Resolution skills (technical & human).
- Passionate about Learning and Inspiring/Coaching others.
- Creative Thinker.
- Self-Starter with a “can-do” attitude.
- Experience migrating legacy solutions to the Cloud.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Previous working experience with AWS.
- Experience with application performance optimization.
- Proven track record of cross-functional project delivery.
- 8 years of proven experience with software development and designing applications.
- Working knowledge of modern software technologies, agile methodologies, and DevOps.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with architecture to support SEO and Site Speed.
- Experience with AI/ML development and technologies.
- Built large-scale, common applications or services that enrich multiple products.
- Supported applications in multiple markets (i.e., Canada) and/or languages.
