Job Purpose and Impact
The Barge Logistics Coordinator will support the development and management of logistical operations to fulfill barge needs in terms of timing, quantity, and price. In this role, you will track barge movements, coordinate drop locations with barge lines and our upriver elevators, routinely solve complex issues while ensuring clear and timely communication among all parties. Key Accountabilities
Maintain, review and analyze barge freight contracts for logistics planning. Independently collect and organize fleet-related information for internal and external clients and customers, and conduct data entry to track and document barge movement. Work directly with plant managers, barge lines and business counterparts to execute plans and resolve routine problems. Solve moderately complex issues under minimal supervision, while escalating more issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned. Position Information

Minimum Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Able to work weekends based on business needs
Preferred
Proficiency in Excel
Strong customer service skills
Barge industry experience
Strong negotiation skills
