Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and professional Salesman to promote our freight brokerage services to local shippers and receivers in the North Washington area. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working independently and is passionate about building relationships with new clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Door-to-Door Sales: Visit local warehouses, shippers, and receivers across the North Washington region to promote and sell our freight brokerage services.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to ensure long-term business growth.
- Promote Services: Clearly communicate the benefits of using our freight brokerage services, including efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Lead Generation: Actively identify and target potential leads in the region.
- Negotiation & Closing Deals: Work with clients to create tailored solutions that meet their shipping needs and successfully close sales.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions, providing regular updates to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the supply chain or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management tools and techniques.
- Proficient in data entry and comfortable using AS400 or similar software systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with clients professionally.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, with a strong track record of building relationships and closing deals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate professionally.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge or experience in the logistics or freight industry is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to travel and work door-to-door in warehouses and shipping facilities across North Washington.
- A professional attitude, with excellent customer service skills.
- Minimum Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent.
