How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:

Responsible for performing website analysis and design to include requirements, specifications, configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation of systems. Will also be involved in providing application support, troubleshooting, training and reporting activities.
 

  • Serves as a liaison between TSG groups, clients and vendors. Conducts analysis of website design including but not limited to planning implementations and maximizing website benefits. Develops working knowledge of Carilion websites, Jira, ServiceNow, Drupal, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Github, and related development and maintenance tools. Assists with resolution of issues, tracks issues and provides updates to peers, leadership and clients with minimum supervision.  
  • Independently manages assigned projects and meets deadlines.
  • Plans and conducts requirements gathering for websites with client. Coordinates, plans and conducts detailed design sessions through knowledge of client/business needs and website functionality with development team.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to translate technical terminology used for website development into plain language. 
  • Prior experience with Agile Software development, and thorough understanding of standard website functionality across browsers, responsive design, and desktop, tablet, and mobile views recommended. Proactively coordinates, plans, and conducts analysis of client business needs with minimum supervision.
  • Develops reference materials such as status reports, documentation, etc. for websites with a proven acumen for technical writing. Prior experience writing Epics, Stories, and Tickets in Jira is desired.
  • Serve as advocate for department initiatives and processes.  Facilitates a positive and collaborative work environment. 
  • Adheres to departmental policies and procedures including application change management process to include timely reporting of all pertinent change information, effective discussion of the changes, internal and external communications, contingency planning, support of the change event and post-change reporting, as appropriate."

What We Require:


Education: High school degree required. Associates/Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business, or equivalent experience required.

Experience: Minimum of three years of related experience.

Licensure/Certification: Valid Virginia drivers' license required.  Vendor and/or industry certifications/proficiencies as determined by management.

Other: Must be a self-initiated team player that can work under little supervision, with strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting. Must facilitate a positive and collaborative work environment. Must be flexible and capable of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Effective communication skills (oral, written and presentation). Primary business hours Monday-Friday including some weekends, holidays. Will require after-hours on-call coverage. Occasional travel required.
