Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Responsibilities

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate and treat residents/patients with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities, adhering to state and federal guidelines. Key responsibilities include:

• Screening and evaluating patients to develop care plans.
• Providing direct treatment under a physician's direction.
• Conducting rehabilitative programs to restore communication efficiency.
• Administering and interpreting specialized tests.
• Instructing families and caregivers on monitoring and practicing skills.
• Documenting patient records accurately and timely.
• Collaborating with rehab therapists and nursing staff.
  
  

Requirements include a Bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology, a current state license, valid CPR certification, and preferably six months of experience in long-term care.
