Part-Time Nanny Position for Infant
Location: Wappingers, NY
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays
Start: Late Spring (as soon as the right fit is found)
Children: Infant (6 weeks old), with occasional care for older children (3-year-old and 5-year-old) when they are home from school.
Salary: $25-$27 per hour, based on experience.
A busy family of five is looking for a part time nanny to join their team! Primarily the nanny will watch the infant and occasional care may be needed for older kids. Grandparents can also help when the are out of school. Hours are 9-5, the mom works from home but at time needs to go into the city. Additional flexibility may be needed on those days. Family is communicative, and collaborative and they are also naturally tidy and organized, they would love it if the candidate was also. Hoping to start in Mid April.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and loving care for the 6-week-old baby, including feeding, diaper changes, and naptime.
- Engage in age-appropriate activities to support the baby’s development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baby’s areas, including folding baby laundry and washing bottles.
- Stock diapers and other baby-related supplies, ensuring everything is ready for use.
- Proactively suggest and plan activities that encourage developmental milestones for the infant.
- Offer help and supervision for the older children (3-year-old and 5-year-old) when they are home, creating a positive and engaging environment for all three children.
- Tidy up after the baby and assist with light household duties related to the baby and children.
- Occasionally assist with meal prep for older children when the infant is napping.
Requirements:
- Prior experience with infants and children of similar ages.
- Comfortable engaging with all three children and maintaining a positive, nurturing environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Must have a clean driving record and be comfortable using a family vehicle for baby-related needs.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Must be proactive and flexible, with the ability to occasionally provide coverage for night or weekend needs.
