The Compliance and Quality Improvement Director is responsible for overseeing and ensuring regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and program improvement within Caring Hands & More. This role involves the management of documentation, audits, service tracking, training, member services administration, and policy development, to enhance service delivery and uphold the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive quality improvement plans aligned with organizational goals, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.
- Lead data collection, analysis, and interpretation to identify trends, root causes of issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee quality improvement projects, including assigning tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring successful implementation.
- Build and manage a team of quality improvement professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with department leaders and other stakeholders to identify quality concerns, develop solutions, and ensure buy-in across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations, including reporting requirements, including Medicaid, HHS, and DIA.
- Regularly monitor performance metrics to track progress on quality improvement initiatives and identify areas needing further attention.
- Ensure documentation compliance and conduct audits regularly and at the request of stakeholders.
- Address, investigate, and document, grievances and incidents.
- Conduct trainings to ensure staff understanding and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Oversees member services administration, including:
- Ensuring timely documentation and administration of member benefits, including SNAP, housing assistance, Medicaid, Social Security, and other member benefits.
- Process and monitor the utilization of member funding sources.
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of member documents, including Person Centered Service Plans (PCSP), annual service agreements, releases of information, and other documents as required.
- Oversee the document and data management systems for records relating to all members served.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools to interpret complex data sets.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve quality improvement goals within related settings.
- Ability to plan, execute, and monitor, quality improvement projects within budget and timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Understanding of Supported Community Living (SCL) programs, Day Habilitation, and Adult Day Care programs, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Grant writing and administration experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in healthcare administration, social services, nursing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workforce and electronic health record systems.
Work Environment:
This role requires a combination of office work and occasional on-site visits to service locations. The Compliance and Quality Improvement Director will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure adherence to policies and continuous service improvement.
