Quality Director

Job Description

A long-time manufacturer in the Cedar Rapids area is looking to bring on an experienced Quality Director to lead their team. This position will play a key part in maintaining and leading the Quality team throughout the facility. Ideal candidates for this position should be thorough and detail-oriented and have a proven track record within quality assurance and management roles. A heightened level of understanding of continuous improvement initiatives is also strongly desired. Our client is offering competitive compensation to go along with an attractive benefits package. What you will do :

• Maintain the quality program designed to the requirements for ISO 9001
• Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
• Drive the Continuous Improvement initiatives as it pertains to the quality metric
• Devise and review specifications for products or processes
• Lead the Quality department and provide guidance and feedback
• Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
• Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
• Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives

What you will need to be successful :

• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is strongly preferred
• 5 to 7 years of related experience in quality assurance / management in a manufacturing organization
• ISO 9001 : 2015 certification
• Detail-oriented and a results-driven approach
• Outstanding communication skills
