What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist position at CARING HEARTS FAMILY MEDICAL CENTERS LLC?
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
- Update and maintain patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient appointments
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries
Must Speak spanish.
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems such as EMR
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
