JOB DESCRIPTION
Logistics Coordinator
Department: Imports Job Status: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Imports Manager
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Positions Supervised: N/A
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position has dual responsible first primary responsibility is to be the key point of contact for all logistics related job functions and for all priorities and troubleshooting issues that may occur through the course of the day. Assist the other personnel within the department and insure that the needs of the company are being met. Additionally, the must works together and collaborate across the various departments within the company. This position requires detail and accurate oriented person to handle the following responsibilities.
PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the entire Logistical Supply Chain
- Be the key point of contact within the department
- Minimum of three years Freight Forwarding Experience, with a solid focus on Ocean full load movement
- Trouble shoot issue(s) that may occur throughout the work day
- Knowledge of the ISF 10 2 filling process
- Cross check purchase order against the vendor’s invoice for accuracy upon shipping.
- Gathering of all imports related documentations for the imports file for all Imports Shipment for the Company
- Track & trace all Imports shipments and keep all relevant Data up to date
- Insure that all in house date system are kept current with all relevant shipping information
- Work closely with Purchasing, Customer Services, Warehouse and Accounting Departments
- Trouble shoot any issue that may come up in a professional manner
- Ability to multi task and handle multiple priorities at once at times
- Must work well in a team environment
- General Office duties as assigned by Department Supervisor/Manager
- Relevant Knowledge of Imports & CBP procedures
- Basic Knowledge of Domestic Truck & Rail
REQUIREMENTS:
Have a high school diploma or equivalency. Minimum of 3 years in related experience or a combination of experience and/or
Education in related filed. Accounting experience is a plus, must be able to read and write English.
