The CILA Residential Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of CILA home, client medical management and personnel management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures either by direct provision or oversight of DSPs that residents receive services as specified in their personal plans. Role modeling to DSP by performing activities of daily living skills training to meet personal plan objectives.
Demonstrates knowledge of rules, regulations and standards of DHS standards, as well as rules/regulations, outside accrediting bodies and agency policies/procedures.
Uses administrative skills to ensure that the residential facility and staff maintains compliance with all applicable DHS standards, rules and regulations by ensuring all DSP are current in training on Paycom in assigned homes.
Ensures staff training for all documentation compliance.
Reviews rules, regulations and standards to DSPs working in assigned home so they can demonstrate knowledge when questioned by surveyors.
Monitors and/or assists in the administration of medication system of residents to ensure compliance with medication regimen. Responsibilities include but are not limited to contacting pharmacy as needed, maintaining pharmaceutical communications, and making sure unused medication are disposed of properly.
Communicates with DSP for approved time off, overseeing timecards on Paycom and creating monthly CILA house schedules using Paycom. Ensuring no DSP works over 6 days consecutively to follow new labor laws.

The individual must also be able to 1) protect and affirm the rights of the individual while assisting them to achieve greater independence by creating an environment responsive to their needs; 2) utilize proper body mechanics when assisting independent of dependent transfers and positioning of individuals up to 195 pounds; 3) screen, assess, and provide interventions for consumers that are exhibiting symptoms of trauma.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Degree/Field Required: High School Diploma (Related fields will be considered.)
Experience Required: Minimum two years experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities. (Can be interchanged with equivalent experience from an advanced degree related to this job and/or with other relevant experience verified by applicant/incumbent). Applicants with an Associates degree or higher within the Human Services discipline must have one year of experience in working with persons who have developmental disabilities.
