Job Overview
At Carl Stahl, we are seeking a skilled Cable Production Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating tubular stranding machines to manufacture high-quality wire rope.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform setup adjustments and accuracy checks during production runs.
- Maintain exceptional quality standards for assigned jobs.
- Operate and monitor multiple machines as assigned, ensuring efficient production processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, oiling, and lubricating machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify machine faults and report them to supervisors or lead personnel promptly.
- Pursue ongoing improvements to operations, reducing turnaround times and streamlining workflows to deliver exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Some mechanical experience is highly beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical processes and measurement techniques is required.
- Effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- The ability to handle small wires is a must.
- Candidates must have the capacity to understand and follow oral or written instructions accurately.
- Preparing accurate documents, production sheets, and reports according to company procedures is also necessary.
Work Environment
- This position is located in a factory setting with a fast-paced work environment.
- The role requires walking and standing for extended periods in a noisy environment.
- Standard working hours are 40 hours per week, but overtime may be necessary based on workload demands.
- Available shifts are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with optional overtime shifts available.
- The starting rate for this position is $17 per hour.
