We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for food service, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. A server will make drinks, have expertise in cash handling, retail math, Toast POS, cash register operations, banquets, customer service in the food industry in a fast paced environment. Looking for someone able to work banquets as needed and fill in any holes in the schedule related to serving or food running.
Food Runner Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Assist servers in managing table settings and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any special requests or modifications.
- Help set up banquet events, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer guest inquiries confidently.
- Support food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service and enhance the overall dining experience.
Server Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beverages to members following standard recipes
- Interact with members, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Check identification of members to verify membership requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Upsell additional products when appropriate
Requirements
- Must be RAMP certified or must get RAMP Certified
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are key attributes for success in this role.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings and weekends as needed.
