Job Summary
Wolf Brewing Company is seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner/Server Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The Food Runner/Server Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring that food and beverages are delivered promptly and accurately from the kitchen/bar to the dining area, while maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer service. This position requires effective communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for the food service industry.
Summary/Objective
The Food Runner/Server Assistant is responsible for assisting Servers in delivering food and beverages to tables, ensuring guests receive their meals promptly and correctly. This role helps maintain a clean and organized dining environment, supports the waitstaff, and enhances the overall guest experience.
Essential Functions
· Food and Beverage Delivery: Efficiently and promptly delivers food orders from the Kitchen and beverages to guests' tables, ensuring that the presentation is accurate and all items are served correctly.
· Assisting Servers: Help Servers by refilling water, bringing additional utensils, and clearing plates from tables. Respond promptly to guest requests.
· Order Accuracy: Confirm orders before leaving the kitchen to ensure all items are complete and correct. Communicate any discrepancies to the Kitchen staff immediately.
· Table Setup and Cleanliness: Assist in setting up and resetting tables, including arranging tableware and ensuring cleanliness between courses and after guests leave.
· Maintaining Dining Area: Regularly check the dining area for cleanliness and orderliness, including clearing empty dishes, wiping down tables, sweeping walkways and rolling silverware.
· Communication with Kitchen: Serve as a liaison between the Front-of-House and Back-of-Souse staff, ensuring efficient communication to meet guest needs.
· Guest Interaction: Provide a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with guests. Address guest inquiries or refer them to Servers when necessary.
· Support Closing Duties: Assist with closing procedures, including tidying the dining area, restocking supplies, and ensuring the restaurant is ready for the next shift.
· Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of food and cleaning procedures.
· Performs other duties as directed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
A restaurant, kitchen and bar environment. The work station may be drafty due to its location by the door, the kitchen may be hot/cold/loud. The work environment noise level can be loud. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping. Fast-paced environment with a focus on quick and efficient service. May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Walk and stand during entire shift.
· Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
· Remain stationary for long periods of time.
· Frequently wash hands.
· Be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
· Be able to manipulate fingers, hands and arms to cut, measure, pour, serve, carry and wipe.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel
Regular travel is not expected for this position. Management may request attendance at beer festivals to promote Wolf Brewing Co.
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED.
· Prior experience working in a restaurant.
· Basic knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and food menu.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be 18 or older to handle alcoholic beverages.
- Must maintain an applicable state health and/or alcohol compliance card.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure food accuracy and presentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with servers and kitchen staff.
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to carry/balance heavy trays or items.
- Positive attitude and a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
