Summary
The Manufacturing Technician role is a key part of the Carlisle Fluid Technologies (CFT) Toledo Repair Center. This position reports to the Global Quality Manager and is responsible for repairing complex mechanical and electrical components. Additionally, this role will provide support to the Technical Support call center and function as the maintenance facility representative for the Toledo facility.
Essential Functions
- Repair complex electrical and mechanical components to work instructions and drawings
- Pre/final test to verify product conformity via processes and equipment identified in work instructions or test procedures
- Utilize electrical test equipment for repairs, testing and troubleshooting
- Utilize small hand tools for positioning parts to assist in electrical and mechanical repairs
- Test high voltage. Able to read KV and currents in microamps
- Ensure priorities aligned to receive prompt turnaround of customer returns
- Detail work completed via reports and Epicor ERP
- Maintain and improve 5S standards in the Repair Center
- Function as the first line of communication to customers in need of technical assistance, with strong and professional written and verbal communication
- Respond to distributor and end user inquiries regarding technical issues relative to Carlisle Fluid Technologies Products
- Assist in specifying the correct products for an end user’s finishing needs based on their unique applications
- Partner with Customer Service and Account Managers to provide best-in-class technical support to distributors and end users
- Maintain maintenance calendar and contractor contact list
- Address smaller day to day maintenance items as they arise
- Contact and schedule outside contractors for larger maintenance items
- Provide contractors building access and support throughout the project
- Ensure building maintenance projects / issues are performed safely and issues are fully resolved
- Create PO’s and approve invoices as required
Minimum Qualifications
- 3yrs prior experience and In-depth understanding of electronic, electrical, mechanical, components and assemblies
- Use of Test meters and test equipment
- Isolation of issues with equipment or product during pre-testing and final-testing stages
- Ability to troubleshoot faults of both electrical and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety instructions, works instructions, test documentation and product manuals
- Good mathematical skills
- Problem solving skills and be able to think quickly to resolution
- Good eye/hand coordination - requirement to work with small parts and assemblies
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Customer service-oriented and energized by helping others succeed. Possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, positivity, and enthusiasm
- Communication skills – listening, oral and written in a professional and courteous manner
- Quality conscious and efficient pace

Preferred Qualifications
- Documented work experience repairing electrical and mechanical components
- IPC certified
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Carlisle Fluid Technologies product line and its usage/position in assigned key industry
