Job description:
A local Family Entertainment Center seeking an Accountant/Bookkeeper/Comptroller with diversified experience in Accounts Payables/Receivables and administration. Should have solid commercial experience with QuickBooks and MS Excel and Word, especially with spreadsheets. Must have strong ability to be organized, have an attention to detail, quick re-call, the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Would be working closely with and assisting the President and Vice President.
Our ideal candidate holds a finance degree (preferably followed by accounting CPE courses) and is familiar and fluent with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks, ultimately, the accountant/bookkeeper/comptroller’s responsibilities would include but are not limited to, accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions of our company; entering all accounts receivable, accounts payable, adjusting journal entries, preparing bank and other account reconciliations, and preparing monthly financial reports, creating budgets, preparing payroll, and maintaining annual contracts and insurance renewals. Would also need to be able to produce analysis and budgetary reports as needed.
Responsibilities
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process by an agreed timely manner
- Verify transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Verify days receipts and safe totals
- Enter data, maintain records and financial statements
- Create and maintain budgets, analysis
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Process payroll
Skills
- Proven bookkeeping and administrative experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Pro software
- Proficiency in MS Office – with an emphasis in Excel Spreadsheets
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy, recall and attention to detail
- Preferred BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Full Time On-site Position (no remote work) Monday to Friday
