Substitute (Part-Time)
We are in search of a Substitute who will report to the designated campus daily (Monday through Wednesday) to work AM and EVE sessions to ensure coverage for classes is consistent.
Responsibilities:
- Implement lesson plans provided by the instructor
- Take attendance
- Leave notes regarding student performance/participation from the day’s lesson as well as any challenges encountered while covering the class
- Fulfill other duties as assigned when coverage is not needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures
- Adhere to campus protocols and procedures as it relates to events such as assemblies, class breaks, session times, etc
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree
- Experience teaching
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English and preferably a second
- needed language in writing and speaking with all school stakeholders;
- Ability to create a safe and compassionate learning environment by leading excellence in teaching and learning;
- Effective mediation skills with sensitivity to cross-cultural issues to resolve conflicts;
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in ESL and Adult Education preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge and competence in both ESL preparation and Adult Education
- Must be flexible and able to make adaptations to meet the academic needs of students with different learning skills and challenges
- Work comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, be able to explain concepts to others effectively
- Excellent organizational skills and timely completion of tasks
- Fluently speak, read, and write in English
- Knowledge and experience using Windows, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook
- Must be able to provide proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination

Pay per is $27.35 per hour
