Essential Job Functions:
- In collaboration with the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), Key Leaders, and Safety Action Team (SAT) members, the EH&S Manager will lead the development and execution of CIS Safety Program & Strategy. This will include all aspects of the CIS business involved in value creation and service delivery (inspections, fabrication, installation, etc.) and in collaboration with third -party vendor partners.
- Develops, refines, and maintains environmental, health, and safety procedures for all areas of the company to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the company's safety initiatives and risk management to ensure that the CIS organization is in full compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and other industry standards critical to our organization (DOT, ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA, NEC, and FMCSA).
- Develop, refine, lead, and execute the company's vision of a safety-oriented culture aligned directly with our C10. Ensure high-touch and high presence with all associates, both in-person and by leveraging digital tools and systems.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations while offering interpretation and guidance on regulatory matters.
- Execute written safety management programs and standard work practices that align with legal standards, regulations, and policy directives from CIS.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Develop an internal audit initiative focused on validating our written safety programs and standard work procedures to mitigate CIS risk. Document, manage, and deploy related corrective and preventative actions with needed CIS team members.
- Investigate incidents and accidents and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention. Maintain records of all data collection activities.
- Complete and maintain all applicable federal, state, local, and internal reporting requirements.
- Inspects all CIS facilities and properties to identify safety, health, and environmental risks on a set schedule. Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings. Ensure that all workplace operations are safe, compliant, and productive.
- Inspire and encourage open communication about safety concerns and take decisive action to mitigate risks and create a secure environment for all associates.
- Ensure all CIS associates understand the Hierarchy of Controls model and why its disciplined application is the essential cornerstone to our CIS Safety program.
- Collaborate with SLT members to link and extend L1 and L2 KPIs to all CIS associates through Policy Deployment.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover all EH&S training in support of all CIS needs and businesses. Provide consultative support and subject matter expertise as needed.
- Employee Consultation: Ensure employees are consulted and involved in developing and implementing all programs, policies, and procedures.
- Support HRBP with all worker's compensation administration including case management, incident investigations, and return to work programs.
- Accountable for overseeing and ensuring the completion of all health and safety training initiatives across CIS while providing regular updates and insights to management regarding training progress.
- Create an annual timetable outlining health and safety obligations mandated by OSHA /MSHA for various roles within Paycom (e.g., Respirator Fit Testing, First Aid/CPR, Lead Testing, regulatory mandated training).
- Serve as an indirect Leader to support and train the Safety Action Team (SAT) to develop a well-structured safety awareness team connected closely to the points where value is added for our customers every day.
- Regularly represent the company in the community or industry safety groups and programs/share company best practices, contribute expertise, and establish the company as a proactive participant in advancing safety standards and initiatives in the broader community or industry. (e.g., ASSP, National Safety Council, Insurance, etc.). Develop network of professional partnerships to ensure CIS is always aware of changes and developments that may impact Safety in our industry.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve site-specific hazards (chemical, biological, physical, electrical, slip/trip/fall, confined space, ergonomic, etc.).
Accountability
- Ensure CIS is always compliant with all EH&S requirements wherever we do business.
- Serve as the CIS leader with all Safety initiatives, which will include creation, implementation, and sustainment. This position will be recognized as the subject matter expert for CIS for all Environmental, Health & Safety topics.
- Must model and demonstrate behaviors that are examples of CIS Core Values and C10.
- Follow CIS’s safety and quality control plan directives and all other general rules and regulations, which are listed in the Employee Handbook and documented policies.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes related to OSHA, MSHA, as well as ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA, NEC, and DOT. Take leadership of training and communication to ensure all associates understand the impact, risks, and requirements.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete fulfillment of all regulatory reporting obligations to ensure EH&S success for CIS.
- Ensure the CIS EH&S program will enable flexibility and operational success with all third-party development, service, and customer partners.
- Development of all initiatives and plans will always be anchored on the CIS associate who is closest to the point where value is added. All efforts will be made to solicit feedback and perspective of operational team members, in the working environment, and to create simple, efficient, and effective processes that will increase use.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master’s degree desirable
- Documented and practical experience of at least 5 years in a relevant industry is required; a combination of relevant education, leadership, industry, and professional experience may also be considered.
- Experience within industrial service businesses are highly desirable
- Knowledge and experience with confined space entry, LOTO implementation/training, respirator implementation/training and health programs
- CPR, First Aid, and AED training certification required
- Respirator fit testing operator experience
- OSHA 30 and knowledge of OSHA regulations as well as other regulatory standards including, but not limited to, ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA, NEC, and DOT
- Any of the following certifications: OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CHST, ASP, and/or CSP are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of current industry trends and the ability to use the latest technologies is essential
- Must pass drug and background checks to support all CIS business requirements
Physical Requirements

- Ability to travel across the Mid-Atlantic (and across CIS’s growing footprint) 25% or more of the time for in-person efforts as needed; travel may be higher or lower based on business needs.
- Able to sit or drive for extended hours with few breaks up to eight hours a day.
- Will be required to lift objects weighing 15lbs at a time. May occasionally lift objects 25 - 50 lbs. at a time.
- Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders, or other similar devices, crawl, stoop, and to be able to reach locations CIS Technicians must access when performing their work at the point of use.
- Must be able to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, & wrists.

Salary : $72,000 - $90,000
