What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health Safety Supervisor position at Confidential Jobs?
EHS supervisor communicates processes, procedures and instruction for team members that ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing environmental, safety, and health issues. This position will work closely with the site EHS Manager to review, identify gaps, and improve overall facility compliance within Environmental Health and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities :
- Stay current and ensure compliance with Federal and State Regulations and the record-keeping requirements for each
- Work with the leadership team to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for relevant EHS regulations
- Train employees in OSHA requirements for safety and in the environmental aspects of their jobs to comply with EPA requirements
- Support in the facilitation of Safety Training in compliance with training requirements
- Maintain overall site training matrix to ensure non-EHS site requirements are tracked and completed to schedule
- Foster team member communication and work together
- Assist in the maintenance of the site Safety Management, Learning Management, and SDS Management systems
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies necessary to meet continued EHS compliance
- Participates in monthly site Safety Committee meetings
- Communicates Safety Training status
- Assist with safety incident communication
- Issue safety updates & tips to shifts
- Assist with annual hearing screening, noise survey, and equipment inventories.
- Support the leadership team with the Incident and Near Miss Reporting
- Conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in an Environmental, Health, and / or Safety field or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing-based EHS position
Experience in ISO 14001, OSHA VPP, and / or Carolina Star is a plus
Have OSHA 30-hour Training or be willing to complete within 30 days of starting
Have OSHA 510 Construction Standard Certification or be willing to complete within 30 days of starting
