Carlyle Design Studio is a boutique interior design firm based in Huntington Beach, California. The studio is known for creating fresh, organic, and relaxed interiors that reflect the natural beauty of our coastal landscapes. We collaborate with residential clients and model home builders locally, as well as traveling to the Hawaiian Islands for select projects.

This entry-level position involves supporting the Lead Designer and Creative Director.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Purchasing all aspects of a project, placing orders, follow up, ensure timely deliveries and pickups, tracking orders for all projects which requires the understanding of procurement spreadsheets and Quickbooks accounting software.
- Assist in reviewing design details and materials during the development process.
- Preparation of client presentations, printing, pricing, and maintaining organization of designer selections and presentation format.
- Assisting with interior specification packets and deliverables.
- Assemble construction binders to be provided to builders for project design implementation.
- Creating packets and documents using Canva.
- Review CAD drawings and red lining.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and follow up on orders and lead times.
- Coordination, organization and filing in One Drive.
- Working with our receiving warehouses and all communications with them.
- Visit vendors and showrooms to collect and/or return samples
- New product sourcing per lead designer’s request.
Qualifications we're looking for in you:
- 2 or 4 year college degree in Interior Design
- At least 1 year in an active design role, either purchasing, assisting or comparable position.
- Clear understanding of furniture layouts and space planning.
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications including Excel and Google programs and have a clear understanding of spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in design software AutoCAD is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media applications and ability to post and do stories.
- Handle day-to-day work challenges confidently; is willing and able to wear various hats and adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
- Analytical thinker, quick to grasp concepts but have a willingness to teach, learn and be accountable.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to support the development and maintenance of relationships with builders and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and have the ability to manage projects and your own time independently.
- Available to travel for local and Hawaii installations, in a supportive role with CDS team. Provide on-site support while installing furnishings and contacting vendors if necessary.
- Capable of assisting with the physical aspects of on-site installations.
- Licensed to drive preferred.
