Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to establish project budgets and timelines.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate estimating.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimation processes.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints and implement cost control measures as needed.
- Provide detailed reports on estimates, including breakdowns of labor, materials, and overhead costs.
Experience
- Proven experience in cost estimation within the construction industry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies is preferred.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
