Carmel Youth Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Program Teacher to join our team! If you have experience working with children, strong classroom management skills, and a desire to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's social-emotional development.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and the community.
- Implement curriculum that aligns with learning frameworks and child development principles.
- Supervise indoor/outdoor activities, including field trips.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- 12 units in Child Development, ECE, or a related field (AA/BA preferred).
- 2 years of experience in a child care or teaching environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
- Ability to meet California state requirements, including Live Scan, TB test, and Mandated Reporter training.
- Bilingual/multilingual skills a plus!
