Job Description: Youth Program Teacher
Carmel Youth Center seeks a dedicated and passionate Youth Program Teacher to lead engaging activities for children's social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support children's growth.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and the community.
- Implement curriculum aligned with learning frameworks and child development principles.
- Supervise indoor/outdoor activities, including field trips.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- 12 units in Child Development, ECE, or a related field (AA/BA preferred).
- 2 years of experience in a child care or teaching environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
- Ability to meet California state requirements, including Live Scan, TB test, and Mandated Reporter training.
- Bilingual/multilingual skills a plus.
