What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary/ Seasonal Utilities Laborer position at Carmeuse Americas?
Job Summary
This seasonal/temporary General Laborer position is responsible for performing various tasks in a utility role. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of production staff and perform general plant labor and clean-up duties.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, operate small equipment, and perform physical labor safely in potentially harsh conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- General labor and clean-up of production areas
- Operate heavy equipment/machinery in a safe and appropriate manner
- Clean, inspect, and maintain/secure all equipment in compliance with MSHA and company policies
- Will work overtime and rotating shifts as needed
- Perform basic computer skills
Requirements:
- Millwright experience and/or experienced equipment operators preferred, but not required
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, and other potentially harsh working conditions
