What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Bartender position at Carnaval Brazilian Grill?
We are currently looking for a qualified individual to work full time (Wed - Sat). This job would include making drinks ordered from the serving staff as well as being able to maintain a good quality of service for your bar rail. Your bar rail would consist of anywhere from 8-10 seats depending on the day of the week as well as the amount of guests on our reservation system. You would not be working alone as you will have another bartender working alongside you for these shifts.
Traditional bartending experiences such as the use of jiggers, pour spouts, pour caps ect, would be a very beneficial experience to have but is not a requirement. We would prefer some sort of bartending experience but as long as you are willing to learn and absorb the information given to you, you will have the right support and guidance on how to perform the task correctly regardless of previous experience.
Having knowledge in different wines as well as liquors will help you develop yourself as a bartender here. We would like for any of our bartenders to have some sort of knowledge between liquors and wines. The reason being, they can answer questions servers may have about the specific drinks and the alcohols that go into them. Developing this knowledge as you go is what we expect but, all applicants should have a fairly firm knowledge basis on these categories beforehand.
We are only open for four days of the week, Wednesday-Saturday. This gives fulltime employees the ability to get fulltime hours with only a four day work week. You would have a set schedule because of this and it would not differ unless there was a holiday or event causing a unscheduled day of service. For example, Sunday brunches that we hold for Mothers Day and Easter. Other than the few holidays you would not need to defer from your set schedule nor asked to work on a day off. Though working does come with a huge benefit and that being our staff gets treated with a meal every night. On the house, free of charge. The only requirement is that you work your scheduled shift for that day. You are allowed to get anything off of our salad bar as well as the Rodizio service.
