What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Strategy Specialist position at Carnegie Dartlet?
Digital Strategy Specialists strategically plan and oversee the execution of paid search, Display, streaming, and paid social media campaigns while acting as direct liaisons to clients. In addition, they work with the internal Digital team and are responsible for proposal development and media plan creation while providing regular reporting and analysis of campaign performance.
Responsibilities:
- Campaign Strategic Oversight
- Oversee the execution of clients’ campaigns, ensuring goals are being met by working closely with platform specialists to continually optimize campaigns
- Architect digital strategies and tactical plans driven by clients’ marketing goals and objectives
- Prepare strategic, multichannel media plans/budgets for existing and potential new clients
- Proposal Development
- Build proposals and digital media plans for both new and existing business, driven by our clients’ business marketing objectives and goals, and a strong understanding of the interplay of tactics across digital marketing channels to develop effective and strategic marketing solutions
- Utilize clients’ historical data and benchmarks to inform proposals, identifying areas for adjusting the strategic approach and capitalizing on past success
- Collaborate with the client-facing teams (Account Management & Business Development) to understand client needs, objectives, and goals, identifying areas of opportunity for growth and expansion of digital marketing strategy
- Join sales and/or client calls as needed to provide digital expertise and insight into proposed strategy mix and anticipated KPIs and metrics for success
- Reporting and Analysis
- Deliver in-depth monthly and ad hoc reporting and analysis for clients using Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, and platform reporting tools
- Analyze data in aggregate, identifying short- and long-term trends and making thoughtful recommendations accordingly
- Client Interaction
- Foster client-agency relationships through monthly strategy calls, acting as an expert partner for clients and advising on best practices
- Internal Team
- Keep up-to-date on digital landscape trends, emerging platforms, and industry news
- Show thought leadership through contributions to team meetings, bringing forward ideas about process improvements, strategic testing, and ways to increase client satisfaction/campaign success
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to effectively multitask in a deadline-driven atmosphere
- Clear oral and written communication skills, both internally and externally
- Complete comfort speaking and presenting to clients regularly on campaign performance via Zoom
- Experience with Asana or other project management software tools a plus
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and utilization of resources to work independently and troubleshoot arising issues before escalating to senior team members
- Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Marketing/Advertising major or concentration preferred
- 1–2 years of experience with digital media planning and/or execution of digital marketing campaigns
- Experience analyzing and reporting on data trends with full understanding of digital marketing KPIs and success metrics
- Experience using and analyzing data visualization tools such as Google Looker Studio and Google Analytics
- Working knowledge of or direct experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Google Display & Video 360 or other DSP required
- Google Ads and/or Google Analytics certifications a plus
