What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Learning & Engagement Programs position at Carnegie Hall?
The Weill Music Institute, Carnegie Hall’s education and social impact department, seeks a part-time, paid intern from February 2024 to May 2024. The intern will work with dedicated staff from the Learning & Engagement team to assist on the execution of events and production related to Music Educators Workshop, Musical Explorers, and Link Up; assist on programmatic components and conduct research for Musical Explorers, Link Up, Summer Music Educators Workshop and PlayUSA; and assist Learning & Engagement Programs as needed.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Administrative and production responsibilities include but are not limited to: Data entry and analysis; Conducting general program research and assessment; assisting with production needs of in-person or virtual events; organizing data and program information of partner organizations; analyzing participant survey data; performing daily administrative tasks; other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
Intern must be detail-oriented, confident, self-motivated, a collaborative team member and have a proven ability to multitask and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and database management are required. Previous experience in arts administration and knowledge of music are strongly preferred. Interest in music education is a plus. Flexible scheduling is available for up to 20 hours per work week. Some weekends and evenings may be required. This internship will take place in-person at Carnegie Hall. Start and end dates are flexible.
