\The Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging will play a critical role in advancing the school's values and mission, working closely with the Head of School, Board of Trustees, and faculty and staff to integrate EIB principles into all aspects of school life. This includes developing and implementing events and initiatives that promote inclusivity and equity, providing student-facing support, and partnering with members of the senior leadership team to assess the unique needs of students across different social identities.
\The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational settings. They will be a collaborative leader who can work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from students to faculty and staff to parents and caregivers.
\Key Responsibilities
\- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to advance EIB principles and values across the school community.
- Provide student-facing support, including design and implementation of events and initiatives that promote inclusivity and equity.
- Partner with members of the senior leadership team to assess the unique needs of students across different social identities and implement innovative strategies to improve their experiences.
- Work closely with the Assistant Head of School for Student Life and Head of Lower School to strengthen the school's Restorative Justice practices and address complex interpersonal student issues as they arise.
